PASSNYC is supported entirely through grant funding. Your donations cover costs of running test prep programs and sending SHSAT registration materials to students in need.

As part of our primary activity of outreach, PASSNYC has created materials to increase awareness about the specialized high schools and the SHSAT (please see our Specialized High School Student Handbook Guide).
To spur new SHSAT registrations, we:
- Distribute our Specialized High School Student Handbook Guide and a cover letter in both English and Spanish in schools; and
- Prepay for envelopes and additional copies so schools can mail our materials home to families.
We have confidence that these documents work as we have seen as high as a 222% increase in SHSAT registrations in a single school coincide with distribution of our materials.
